But seriously, I think its funny, that means the wii u will have better graphics than it. NINTENDO will have better graphics than SONY. Plus sony has Bluray, NINTENDO USES DVDS FOR THE WII, so I'm assuming that the Wii U will also use DVDs, or at least Double Layer DVDs like the Xbox 360.
Why is it that Nintendo lags behind in hardware for one generation, and all of a sudden it's like they did it all the time?
The Gamecube was faster than the PS2.

I have a hard enough time explaining to some morons how to work their PS3... these people will never game on a computer.
THIS is why the Xbox 360 has been a runaway success despite having failure prone hardware. User friendly. That is the future.
Unless PC's get incredibly more user friendly in the coming years, I doubt it will EVER be at the forefront of gaming. Like it never has been... The most popular years for PC still paled in comparison to the popularity of consoles out at the time despite competing with mere 16-bit platforms vs. Diablo and the likes.
It depends, if most of the game console makers head towards the mainstream market, a lot of the more hardcore gamers will go to PC.

They probably want really cheap, low power graphics (Eg. 8800GT level)
Although to be honest, even an 8800GT with the Cell CPU and 1GB vRAM and 1GB system RAM would be more than enough for nearly any game in the near future...For a console.
