I also set my network to NOT broadcast the SSID

If you look up the specs on your router, you should use the largest & totally random allowed.

How do you know there ain't any backdoors? There doesn't have to be malware on your pc to have a backdoor. A vulnerability in applications in your operating system that is also backdoors. You might have the best security on the planet but it can all be wiped to shreds by dangerous surfing habits and what you download of the net. You can hide you ip but your ip can still be seen on a simple use of a instant messenger or a email reply.

I didn't know it was that easy to bypass MAC filtering :S but thanks for the input, although I've just got a message from him saying he has changed his mind, which translates as I cant do it.
Thanks for all of your contributions

you shouldve used a old pc with no security on and threw it full of the nastiest pieces of malware you could find and renamed them email password, banking account, money transfer app etc etc. Watch him sneak in and steal all the time bombs. Will take him some time to clean out all the crap
