Alright so heres the question : If i was to STUPIDLY Push the switch from 230V (Europe) To 115v (US) Which i did. (It lit up and my PC didnt start back up again) is there any Possibility i may have STUPIDLY yet again damagedany Hardware? It just lit up and i turned it to 230v as fast as possible. But my computer never started back up. Also there was no sign of Smoke or burning smell. Thanks and yes call me stupid but i like to learn from my mistakes.

The rig you're trying to power is in your sig? If so get something like a Corsair Builder Series CX430. I almost gurantee it'll outperform that EXTREME 680W PSU.

Just had a look at that PSU you're getting and it looks rubbish, supposedly efficient yet no 80+ rating, passive PFC etc. The Corsair CX430 shouldn't cost much more and it'll be miles better than that.

Yes its the on in my sig , However , Im taking my PC in to Maplin for them to check out first , to see if any pieces are damaged and then Buy a PSU FROM there because i dont wanna be waiting , ive got important things to do on my PC I can only afford a £30 PSU aswell. Would a 680W PSU be ok for my Rig though? Thanks for answering

Note that the '680W' PSU will most likely not be able to output anywhere near that much. Since it's a budget PSU that's probably a peak rating rather than sustained. Also a lot of the power is probably on the 3.3/5v rails leaving not a lot for the 12v rail(s). My guess is that the 680W PSU will perform about as well as a good quality 350-450W PSU.

If you can afford it at all, I would definitely suggest you look elsewhere.

I suggest you head to www.jonnyguru.com and read up on the FAQs there. Really good information about PSUs on that site and they do recommend good quality PSUs that won't cost the earth.

Your rig could be run off a quality 300w PSU, 600+ is massivly overkill.
