Possible to fix these bent pins? - Page 3

You really have nothing to lose right? Its not like its still under warranty is it?

EDIT - Just read the second page, sucks about the mobo but there is no reason to think that the cpu won't work. It doesn't have any pins to bend in that area....

yea exactly, im just scared it shorted or something odd happened when i tried starting up the computer with the bent pins...multiple times lol.

i guess ill just buy a mobo somewhere that i can return it to if i come to find that my processor is dead too.

na the cpu fits in fine. It is a q6600 with the 775 socket, so the cpu itself does not have pins, the mobo does.

The computer powers on, all the fans turn on, however bios does not load up.

lol....there should be a set of jumpers that you will short across that will clear everything back to factory specs......hang on I'll look up board and see if I can find it....it would be in MB manual also
what MB model do you have?

This works well for an AMD chip, may be tricky for an Intel Motherboard though
