Need advice.

Im currently shopping for a GPU for my new PC.

I7-2600K (Been living off HD 3000, must say its decent)
Asrock Z68 Pro 3
8 GB DDR3-1866 (Gskill sniper)
64GB SSD
Corsair GS600
Win 7 64bit Pro
27 inch Visio TV (1080p)

I need more HD room so I want to get a second 64GB SSD and raid 0 them together. I also need a dedicated GPU. My Primary concern is FSX and Xplane 9 performance (Maxed out settings @ 1080p).

My budget is I can afford a EVGA GTX 570 SC but would like to save the money on a Gigabyte 560 TI SOC and use the $ 100 save on my second SSD. Reguardless of which card I get the SSD is manditory.

Now im a busy military student avatior and my girlfirend just moved in and is jobless so I have to be smart on my money. So realizing my Needs, current systems specs, job and currently obligations (girlfirend) what is a wise decision?

FYI I dont mind buying a new GPU 2 years down the road.

The 560ti would be a solid card for your system. And then you could get the second ssd.

Why not just get a normal HDD? You already have an SSD to run your OS on, getting another SSD for storage is silly at best. Save yourself the money.

A GTX 560 will do fine, no need to get a 570 unless you enjoy turning all the eye candy on.

I dont need more then 120gbs. Right now with FSX and XPlanes 9 with just local senary installed, Win 7 and DNF I have 4gb remaining. Having another 60 gbs is all I need. Plus Raid 0 on two SSD would be sweet.

As for eye candy I want maxed setting on FSX and Xplanes. I built this PC mainly for flight sims.

Sure, it's cool and all, but worth it?

Firstly you may need the storage of a normal HDD at some point.
You're on a budget, so why use an unecessary amount of money?
I take it that your current SSD wasn't enough, how do you know that you won't need more space in the future?

Those questions pops up in my head. But if Raid 0 is want you want to do, who am I to speak? I'm just speaking from personal experience where I mainly thought a 120GB HDD would be enough, but it really wasn't after using the computer for some time.

And are you sure you actually need another SSD? What exactly do you do that requires you to get a second one? To me it seems like you already got all your necessary software installed, another SSD wouldn't really benefit you that much except from the speed boost.

As I said I'd just get a 560, system requirements on FSX and XPlanes looks fairly low.

Just my two cents really, I'm not standing in your way. I know how it feels when know you like something.
