Hyper transport sync flood error

Thread Starter
Ok so I was playing BFBC2 multiplayer on the pc for the fist time today. and on my third round the screen froze and a buzzing sound came out of my speakers, i waited like 5 seconds to see what would happen and then it just shut down, bios start up screen showed up saying something like"hyper transport sync flood error press DEL to continue" (not exactly it) so I just hit delete, menu popped up and i exited out without making any changes. when i logged on windows said it had recovered from unexcepted shutdown or something, scrolled down it said blue screen. played the game again, this time first round, same thing.

Now I have played the singleplayer just fine without any problems before (couldnt play multiplayer until now) only thing different was that I just updated to catalyst 11.6 drivers, and I have been able to play GTA IV with the only problem being a lag during a mission with textures messing up a restart took care of that. now i had upgraded the drivers before i downloaded the patches for bc2 (so yesterday), I was on 11.5 before, I have also played crysis and warhead, crysis 2, far cry 2, flashpoint red river, and fallout new vegas before no problem. since the drivers i have only played gta 4 and bfbc2, i am trying other games. also each time they crashed, the game i joined i got into the menu where you choose spawn and load out, it would freeze for like 20 seconds like it was buffering or something than work just fine (except it would crash later)

I had my gpu overclocked with msi afterburner at: core clock 800 mhz and the memory clock at 1150 mhz, i reset them to the regular 775/1000 with the only change being fan speed, played and crashed again same error (third time) ran memtest-86 for about 3 hours, did 3 passes. got this error around the beginning:

tst: 5
pass: 1
failing address: 001cffc0208 - 7423.0 mb
good: 7f7f7f7f
bad: 7f7f7f7b
err-bits: 00000004
count: 1
cpu: 0

and i have no idea what that means. I have nothing else overclocked besides my gpu, I have no idea how to change voltages. I am going to try re installing drivers bios maybe, try other games to see if they crash, and go back to catalyst 11.5. Any help please?

This error is caused by voltage being too low.

I only plugged in one of my 4pins into the mobo when it required both (8pin).

Or upping the core voltage will fix this also.

CPU and/or CPU/NB voltages may be low. In your case , since you run 8G of RAM, I suggest to raise your CPU/NB voltage. Usually 955 needs 1.10V for CPU/NB, so try it with 1.15-1.20V

I set both cpu vcore or whatever it is and cpu nb from start up to +0.1 and the memory from 1.6 to 1.7, still not working
