help me choose ?

Thread Starter
all the specs in my sig are true. my motherboard i feel is sorely lacking. I'm not happy with my overclocking capabilities. I didn't choose this board, kinda got stuck with it. I am not crossfire capable = ( I don't have the money to do it right away, but it is something I'm saving towards. I'm new to the site so i cant post in wanted section, but that's not what this is about because i really don't know what i want. my budget is about 160 or so. I'm looking for something with minimal frills and lots of capability. anyone care to point out some of their favorite boards in that price range ? thanks in advance for your time.

duly noted. i definitely looked at that one more than once.

how much performance do you generally lose in crossfire x8 x8 situation as opposed to a x16 x16 board ?

Personally I went with the ASUS Crosshair V, but right now that's out of your desired price range. If I had to buy a board for $160 and I couldn't wait to save more money then I supposed I would get this:

Maybe it's just me, but I try to "future proof" as much as I can. These mobos are AM3+ 990X chipset and support the upcoming Bulldozer CPUs, but will still run your 1055T.

What will I be missing by not saving another 100$ for the formula V ? Besides the dual x16 lanes I mean. I won't be replacing my CPU any time soon I don't think. I just feel like my board is a glaring eyesore in my setup right now and I wanna get it fixed. Would I better off with something from last generation since bulldozer isn't in my immediate plans ?
