New Sprint phone - Nexus S, EVO 3D, Motorola Photon - Page 2

I'll be picking up mine today during my lunch hour of work. The sprint rep at radioshack busted out the evo 3d for me to play with while I was getting my credit check goin. I was impressed by the 3D pictures you could take, alot better then I was expecting after reading some reviews. I'll give more details after I get home from work and get some time to play with it!

Good thing is that the Evo 3D is supposed to have a longer battery life than the Photon so it is definitely turning into a small deciding factor for me as well.

Motorola has been locking their bootloaders as has HTC recently. Go with the Evo 3D, it seems like the best value at the moment. The Nexus S has poor reception, no idea if its software or hardware, but either way, not a good deal, not useful if it can't receive and make calls. I can't believe you don't like webOS! The original Evo is a badass phone and I like it a lot. The Evo Shift isn't bad either, none of the problems I mentioned and also has a hardware keyboard if you like those.

I actually liked the interface, at times it was a bit laggy but my main problem was just lack of support. As soon as HP bought Palm, the updates stopped. I mean granted the phone was pretty old, it just couldn't compare to Android and iOS. With that being said, I do think WebOS has a ton of potential if it just had more support.

Today, i'm going to try to get to the sprint store to check out the Evo 3D if anyone has it. I've been leaning towards that phone anyway because everyone i've talked to likes HTC Sense better that Motoblur or whatever it's called.

I just picked up the HTC Evo 3D today and omg the phone so far lives up to its hype. I upgraded from my HTC Hero and this device is ridiculously faster than the Hero.

I went to the sprint sotre before when i got my hero and i regretted going there as they had me do a rebate. This time around I went to Best Buy (as recommended by my friend) due to the fact that Best Buy does not deal with rebates. They give the customer instant savings and deal with the rebates on their backend. Granted I had to deal with them asking if i wanted to buy this plan and that plan as add ons so they could make some money. But it was worth it to get all instant savings on the phone.

I got my EVO 3D yesterday and it is pretty sweet, i'm glad I went with it. The 3D thing is just as ridiculous as I thought but it's just an added feature and the phone is awesome without it. Now as soon as people develop some sweet roms for it, life will be good.

I always bought htc WM phones, and wish they could put a decent camera in one of their phones, haha... how's the evo 3d, I think the evo 4g is pretty bad. Slow, bad in low light, jerky hd video. Big "specs" low performing.
However htc always has great support from the developer community and thats a plus..
