However htc always has great support from the developer community and thats a plus..
When the first HTC phones came out on sprint, I always stayed away from them and I never had any justification for that except for the fact that they were Windows Mobile phones of which I was never a big fan of. The Camera on the 3D is really clear and has a lot of sweet features, I would consider it the best cell phone camera that i've had. The phone is pretty nice but will be insanely good if they unlock the bootloader and do so soon so the developers don't lose interest. I haven't had a whole lot of time to test every aspect out but I am glad I got it.

The Evo 3d is really fast which is all that matters. 3D is a asinine fad that will go away when people get chronic headaches and crosseyedness. LOL

Since there are rumors of the SGS2 (within) coming to sprint on the 24th of july, would people recommend waiting or just get the 3D now and calling it good?

Just because the SGS2 comes out later doesn't make it a better phone than the EVO 3D. You can compare the hardware on both and they are very similar. You can compare the OS's on them and they are the same minus UI's (HTC Sense vs Samsungs UI)

Both phones are blazing fast and will be at the top of the heap for phones. I absolutely recommend the HTC Evo 3d. Not because of the 3D part (I think it is more of a novelty than being useful) But because the hardware on it is great, its performance is phenomenal and the clarity of the screen and pictures is very good as well. You will can not go wrong with the HTC Evo 3D

In other words, the SGS2 is not significantly better to be worth the wait?

Judging from the Nexus S's poor calling signal (which I assume is important in a phone), I wouldn't trust Samsung.

People mostly want the screen. But unless you're sitting there holding the two phones next to each other (god know's why) most people say they dont notice or care about qHD vs SAMOLED+

Also, in america samsung has a terrible update record

OP, sorry to go a little off-topic, but how has Sprint been for you? I'm in the same position as you, but I'm not sure if I want Sprint. Do they charge a lot of extra fees? How's their connection (I'm outside of NYC)? I heard they charge a lot of roaming..?
Thks!
