Thread Starter
hey guy's i'm about to build a lil project desktop and been looking to find the best ram cooler fan. I've also been trying to find out whether they are just mainly fashion or if its really recommended to have 1 in the setup.

if its necessary to have then which 1 should i get?

They're completely unnessessary. Most RAM kits that you'll find will have heatspreaders on them already. The only reason you'd NEED a RAM cooling fan, would be if you were pumping insane voltages through the sticks.

I wouldn't use them uness they come with your kit, they look really cool though. But if you want your ram to look cool their is this ram that has LEDs on them, I forget what brand they are.

I'm using one. Doesn't really seem to change much, but I put it on there anyway. If you've got case fans, I think you're good to go.

completely unnecessary.

My corsair vengance when OC'd to 1866 (stock 1600) and 1.65v won't even heat the heatspreader...
