My pc crashed after 11 hours of testing with prime i am stable? - Page 2

post #11 of 66
It happens. Even after 30 hrs any stress test does not deem 100% stable. The longer obviously the better. If you passed 11hrs, IMO, your good for 24/7 use though.

Crash = unstable !

Bump Vcore by a notch and call it stable.

I recommend you to run a 24h blend to be sure you are stable in every circumtances.

Good luck

if you REALLY want to find out if you're stable do 40+ hours... if you're just trying to game at those settings then you're fine where you're at.

I once overclocked a Phenom II to somewhere over 3.6 GHz (its been awhile) and tested it with Prime overnight and it crashed after around 12 hours. I thought that meant it was stable and assumed the crash was due to my CPU cooler. The system seemed to work fine for a few days but blue screened in games a few times, so I sent it back to stock speeds.

So, no, it's probably not stable. There is no telling when it will crash and under what circumstances.
