Its very high profile memory, but the C14 also isn't the biggest cooler in the world.

It will fit only if you remove the lower fan ( 65mm clearance vs 38mm with it, and G Skill Trident height is 55mm ).

Would ripjaws fit? I read they were about 40mm.

Otherwise I'll go with either Hyper X or Sniper.

Ripjaws is 40mm and Sniper is 42mm. So, they are still taller than the clearance 38mm (if the bottom fan of NH-C14 is attached).

For Hyper X, the blu and Genesis series will both fit but the T1 series will not.

Actually, according to Noctua's compatibility list for NH-C14, your motherboard Asus Maximus IV Extreme gets a green tick. This is interesting because if it has potential RAM clearance issue, it should receive a yellow x. So, does this mean that it would not have clearance issue (due to its 3 possible install orientations of the heatsink?)?

NH-C14 mobo compatibility list: http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=compatibility_gen&products_id=37&lng=en

As Noctua encourages customers not to hesitate to contact them for compatibility issue, I suggest you to email them at: support@noctua.at

Thanks, I'll email them.

Though I'm selling my sig rig to my brother, and downsizing case to a 14 year old one that I'm currently modding. I chose the C14 because the H70 wouldn't fit. Probably going to go with a Z68X-UD7 instead of a ME4, and I was tempted to go with the Hyper X as it fits the colour scheme better (Blue led fans and detailing on the board).

EDIT: UD7 got a green tick as well
