Yes because looks is what you base your purchase of a performance laptop off?

Its still a large part of a decision. At least with some Sagers you can upgrade them in the future like the GPUs. It basically depends on your budget.

personally i would love me a ASUS G53 they look amazing and are said to be very silent and are under $1,200. with e a i7 quadcore, 6GB of RAM, 1920X1080 with a 1.5GB Vram GTX460M i mean it dont get much better then that lol

the sager laptops look really plain to me and im not too sure on the cooling that they have but the G53s have really exceptional cooling

ASUS for sure, Sagers are good too, but yeah for what I pay I do take into consideration the design of the laptop. ASUS has a great cooling system and make a gaming laptop LOOK like a gaming laptop.

Also, more importantly, is that the components in an ASUS are pretty top notch

I prefer the aesthetics of the Sager. It's a much simpler design with out all of the annoying glitz of a typical gaming machine. Just imo.

Some people hate the look of a "gaming laptop" and would rather go with a sleeper design. Can't argue about the cooling system though. I also like the rubber texture of the Asus laptops. Go with Sager for raw performance and upgradeability, but go with Asus for useability. You pay less for Asus for the same performance as well.

Another one for ASUS. I have a G53 and I love it. Sager's are great too, but as others have said the support throughthem can be a pain. While yes you get a little beter performace with the sager, when buying something like a laptop you have to keep in mind the support, and hands down asus wins in terms of that.

I have a Sager 8130 (gtx 560m) and I love it. I prefer the Sager's sleeper design to the ricey look of a gaming laptop, even if ASUS is the least of the offenders in that area. I also loved that I didn't have to pay for an OS or get any unnecessary bloatware. Temps are incredible. 70c on load.

I don't think you can go wrong either way, so just get which one you like the best. I'm a hard core enthusiast and the Sager appealed to me in that sense. I'd rather have something to mess around with than pre-loaded. Hell, I considered buying a barebones clevo chassis and getting an engineering sample CPU off ebay for half the retail price and just building the rest from newegg or used parts.

The Sager was a little bit lighter iirc as well. The 95% matte gamut screen was also compelling for me. I can't stand glossy screens.

My vote would be for the Sager.

Sager specializes in gaming laptops. So if you want to game, I think you would be happiest with a gaming laptop. The reviews and videos I've seen on the sager laptops make it seem a lot better than other laptops. I hear the Asus laptops are a lot louder and hotter than the Sagers as well.

press the FN and the #1 key on a sager and see which one is louder lol (thats the key stroke to turn the fans on the sager to 100% )

so I went on sagers website and now I want one over the G53 lol and idk its just something about a company that makes a laptop with SLI GTX485Ms that equal that performance of a desktop GTX580 that makes me giggle like a school girl!! granted you will have like a 3second battery life lol also you can upgrade the wirelesscard to a bigfoot networks Killer NIC and the audio to the X-fi sound blaster!!

You guys with the sagers.....especially Axon14...how much batter life are you guys getting?? Xotic PC claims 2-3hrs on the 15" but idk if that s gaming (probably not lol) or just surfing the net??
