Power supply suggestions

Hello Everyone. I was wondering if the Antec High Current Gamer Series HCG-620 620W or XFX Core Edition PRO650W be able to power my build. If both are fine, which one would you guys recommend? Both are about the same price after mail in rebate. I plan to overclock a bit and previously bought a antec gs600 which made my computer freeze after I tried to start up a game (starcraft 2). I borrowed an antec earthwatt 750w to test and I was able to load the game perfectly fine. My build is:
Antec nine hundred and two
i7 2600k (plan to overclock)
asus p8p67
blu-ray writer
dvd writer
m4 SSD
2tb hard drive
hd 6950 or ti 560 TI ( I have both and can't decide which one to put into this build)

Thanks in advance!

Yes, both can power it easily, with room to spare. Though I would go with a Corsair myself. Those are two good PSU's.

Your system only draws around 400-480w realistically, if that. So 650 will do the job.

thanks for the info! does that mean the corsair gs600 I bad before was just a faulty unit since my computer ran fine after replacing the psu.

Not the GS. They are diferent internally than the older "real" corsairs.

Corsiar 650w TX http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139005

Same one as mine. Flawless. And only $89.99 rather than the $120 i paid for mine.

Have a look on Jonnyguru I'm pretty sure he's reviewed both the Antec and XFX. Read both the reviews taking into account aesthetics, voltage regulation, ripple suppression etc. and make your decision.

The Antec or XFX...either one is a good unit as they're both rebadged Seasonics, but you don't need that much wattage for your build.

The newer TX650 v2 is also made by Seasonic:

But again, you don't even need this much wattage. An Antec High Current Gamer 520W would be enough for your build. The 620W and 650W unit would be enough for Crossfire/SLI of the cards you mentioned.
