70A is 840W, which the Black Edition has too.
It's a computer!

Thread Starter
I am getting confussed now.

The XFX Black Edition XPS-850-BES, I cant find in any stores. So it must be a discontinued product?
And the XFX Black Edition P1-850B-NLG9 is the new improved version?

Is it this one here?

It just seems very cheap. When thinking off I paid +210 euro for my Enermax.
The devils pc.

That is Core Edition which is not modular..

For modular PSU you go for XXX Edition which is a bit more expensive..

Trust me they are great PSUs..

CHEERS..

The Black Edition units that came out a couple of years ago are great. You can tell they're Black Editions by the green fan. They're 80 Plus Silver rated SeaSonic S12D units, which puts them near the top of the food chain for quality and performance. They're also modular.

The newer XFX Core Edition units are SeaSonic SSxxx-AT 80 Plus Bronze rated units that come in 650, 750, 850W and they are not modular.

Now, it appears they've discontinued the green fan Black Editions and replaced those with units that look in almost every identical to the Core Edition units. However, they are still Black Edition units on the inside -- 80 Plus Silver, modular SeaSonic S12D (or M12D I guess, since they're modular).

So check the specs on the specific unit you're looking at.
If it's not modular and 80 Plus Bronze rated, it's a Core Edition. Good unit, same innards as the Corsair TX 650/750/850 V2 units.
If it's modular and 80 Plus Bronze rated, it's the XFX 650W XXX Edition. Good unit as well. Very similar internally to a Corsair TX650 V1 or a Corsair HX650.
If it's modular and 80 Plus Silver rated, it's a Black Edition (even though it might no longer be called Black Edition). Those are the best PSUs in the line-up, and they're among the best units on the entire market, just a notch below the SeaSonic X series units.

XFX makes decent PSUs, my uncle's 580 ran fine on my 550W. The only thing I don't like about it is the cables, other than that, it's pretty good. If you find a modular one, that's better.
