I guess it's possible with a quality PSU. Most of those Corsairs are rated above what they claim they are. Your efficiency will probably be worse than if you had a 1000W or 1200W, but if that doesn't bother you then everything should be fine.

Good luck, i'm jealous... that thing will run TW2 with ubersampling ON.

EDIT: 736W without monitor. Still not going to make it I don't think. Personally would of went with an AX1200.... 10%-20% headroom = more efficient power.

I would of went with a bigger case... it's gonna get hot/crowded in there. Maybe it's just the pic, but the case seems really small.

He probably spent $600 for both cards due to that recent pricing error.

Rude much?
Are you serious? How on earth can it pull that much power? No way. I always thought an 850W was sufficient for 580 SLI, but wow.

Also congrats Majin SSJ Eric!

736W for my entire overclocked system under a very GPU intensive game? Seems about right to me. My case has 5x 120mm and a (250mm?) LED fans, so that'll add about 30-50W. It's 216W idle.

Either way going off topic, back to his build.

Yeah sorry, just seemed like a lot judging from reviews. I believe Guru3d pulled something slightly above 700W with two GTX 580 in SLI, that's an entire system with an overclocked CPU.

And be sure to make that build sexy, I'm very excited.

Oh crap, no wonder. Forgot my subwoofer is also plugged into the UPS, a $850 subwoofer at that... which reduces the load by about 100W when I shut it off during a game.

Yea, he'll definitely be fine with a 850W. Sorry about the brief hijacking.

Lol, you had me running back to the PSU section to double-check! I think I have chosen good components that should work well together...

Rude much?
820watts X 90% = 738Watts. That's assuming that your PSU is 90% efficient. So your PC is really only using 738 watts.

Lol, yeah I was really wanting the new H80 but they won't be available for some time. My RAM doesn't allow me to run any of the huge air coolers (my Hyper 212 is about the max I can fit) so I needed something that will save me some space and was maintenance-free.

I can always use my Hyper 212 if necessary, its good for 4.6GHz at 75C...
