Counter Strike 2 isn't coming out until Dota gets shipped. Gabe said so himself.
Even then, it's a maybe.

You should start, it´s great fun. It´ll probably keep you entertained for a couple of days.

It's still as broke as it was when it shut down. NOW, only you have restrictions and paying money gives you better chances of winning over others.

You can't be as creative as you could back when the game was still under its old devs. They have lowered the amount of details/icons you can have on your character and cars.

I am also mad at it because they have a transfer program to get peoples old accounts (their characters) back to the new game. Only, when I tried it and after spending 7 days with support they said my old account information is lost

Really stupid thing was before it shut down I had enough points to buy a few years of subscription fees. Starting over in a broken game just isn't fun and even when the game had to be bought there were plenty of hackers, the longer it remains free to play the more hackers and exploiters you will see.

TLDR ; I wouldn't try APB again.

Instead if i wasnt refusing to buy this game on principal. Having to buy heros and items individually would make it a no buy for me.
First of all, is it really considered stealing if they have Icefrog (creator of Dota) working with them? Second, I highly doubt they're just copy-pasting the entire thing into source and you have no grounds to say they are.

That's blasphemy...DotA was already the most popular WC3 map when IceFrog took over, he just implemented the community's ideas. In the end, DotA is a project by the community, for the community. Copying the core mechanics? Fine, but trying to trademark the name as well? Disgusting.

They can quite literally copy and paste everything else, but taking the name when they're working with its most dedicated modder is definitely a step too far. Note the obvious sarcasm.

Just so we're clear, you're being sarcastic about IceFrog being DotA's most dedicated modder right?
