Ok, i may go with the DG. Why would you say x-fi titanium for gaming?

cause the all X-Fi cards (except the Xtreme audio that why i did nt recommend it) uses the EMU20K2 chip which is known for better processing in gaming (espically in FPS)

while the C Media in Xonars (and some HT omegas) produce better sound quality (music/movies) but not that good on gaming (it`s good but the EMU20K2 is better for gaming only)

A bulk Titanium should be a "real" upgrade for you.

Go and get the DG ,but don t expect something special from it.

I have a Creative X-Fi XtremeGamer PCI card in my system and i love it. Cant go wrong with a real Creative X-Fi card biggrin.gif

The X-fi Titanium has pretty terrible driver stability, and I find the Xonar cards match up to them in every application except some older legacy EAX games and Bad Company 2. If those aren't important, I'd highly recommend the Xonar DX/D1 over the Titanium.

Alright. Thanks
I did notice some strange sounds in BC2 with the Audigy. Not sure what that was all about :/

I read alot of reviews talking about driver problems with Creative cards, and i even thought about not buying my XtremeGamer because of them, but i have never once had a single issue with it. I ran it under Vista/7 32bit on an old P4 system and now on 7 64 bit in this system with absolutely no driver issues. it should work just fine as long as you have a nice clean OS to run it with.......

Don t worry you should not notice any strange sounds with a "real" X-Fi.
My PCI Xtreme Music runs ok BF BC2.
On the other hand Xonars may BSOD in BF BC2 ,while the Titanium may have stability issues due to the PCI-E drivers. smile.gif

And most of the issues were generated by Nvidia (for Intel) and Intel motherboard chipsets/drivers.
Never had serious issues with my AMD systems and Creative cards.

Less than two months ago, on my sig rig, I used the X-fi Titanium. AMD board, Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Had massive problems. Probably half a dozen system freezes that required hard-resets, two or three blue screens in game, and even an episode where all my audio devices disabled and wouldn't come back until restart.
All of that within 3 weeks of use.
Maybe not everyone will have problems, but enough people do to warrant a warning.
