Comcast doesn't charge overages for going over 250GB, that's AT&T. Comcast just disconnects you after the first warning.

We have people promoting cloud services until their skin turns purple on one hand and ISPs hindering and limiting speed and bandwidth on the other. If a trout fell on this man's head for every example that can prove him wrong he will be eating fish for the rest of his life.

That's odd. I thought the entire point behind bandwidth limits was to charge people for going over them.

The rest of his life would be about 3 seconds since that is the time I estimate it would take for his body to be crushed under the wieght of the trout.

Yes it is.

With Comcast it is iffy, some people get warnings, or fines, others don't hear a peep from comcast.

The point of caps is to keep the "heavy users" from ruining the QoS for the lighter users. Sadly the ISP's have decided it is a fantastic cash cow, and have not had the dramatic problems they attempt to portray.

Yeah...netflix being over 25% of internet traffic and growing won't be an issue.

Refusing to increase outdated caps and speeds is just companies being lazy because they don't want to have to upgrade infrastructures...these anti piracy quips just appeal to those people who only use the internet for email and light web browsing

LoL, 1Gbps only for piracy? So I can't run a coffee sandwich shop because my 30 or so customers who like to enjoy a latte and some food under the sun are using my connection for piracy, lol.

Having a 20Mbps connection from Comcast while 30 customers are on Youtube makes you feel like you're on 56k again.

Or wait, maybe I have a big house with 10 people living under one roof and are all tech savy. I guess we're all pirates since we're all on the same1Gbps connection.

which, sadly is most people.

the amount of people at AT&T who tried to tell me that 150GB is a lot.

heck, one of the ladies in corporate tried the 30,000 songs, and when i told her what format and quality, using flac as a reference, she had no answer.
