Recent Order of Orion Fans

Has anyone used Orin fans? I found a Canadian company that was selling these type of fans cheap and ordered a few of them:

I had problems with my s-flex running vertically so I wanted to get some ball bearing fans.

I replaced some case fans in my dell with these about three years ago.... JET LOUD. Just look at the noise ratings. Unless you have a fan controller and are planning on putting the case down the hall, I would avoid these.

Yea, these are rated at 47 dB. They are the 3k version. Fan controller is on my list of stuff to get. Most of my fans right now have to run throught the motherboard or else they scream.

then if you have a fan controller and your noise tolerance is alright then they should be fine

those fans aren't that cheap, im sure you could find some better ones elsewhere. newegg.ca?

If you're talking about the S-flex G fans screaming, then these fans are NOT for you.

I don't have a problem with their noise. They just stop working after a while and i have to add oil to get them to spin again.

Right now most of my time I have a box fan sitting near me making far more noise than my PC so I don't think the sound is going to be a big issue.

They just rasied the price on the fans from where I got them, but here is the spec sheet.

http://www1.futureelectronics.com/do...38-12HB01A.pdf

I also ordered a fan controller. I guess if someone wanted some I could sell them off too. If I get some more rep I will take some pictures or even a video and post it here.
