Recommendations for quietest GTX 570 (or other NVIDIA GPU for PS) - Page 2

I have the Gigabyte card and I can't get the thing above 63 degrees even after a half hour of furmark. It is very quiet and I've never had the fan go above 80% even with stress testing. If you're not pushing it you can keep it very quiet.

I too am interested in a GTX 570 that was quiet, and was considering the frozr II & III, the asus & the gigabyte. Given the current rebates on the asus & giga, that eliminated the msi. I will not be adding a 2nd or 3rd card, and the Asus seemed like the logical choice, it sure looks the best and comes with an attractive backplate. But given that its currently sold out, the gigabyte was an easy choice, especially after reading this review: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/gra...c-roundup.html

I have the GIGABYTE GV-N570OC-13I rev2 GeForce GTX 570 (Fermi) 1280MB 320-bit and it does very good job at keeping it cool and quiet.

I have 2 570's and one is manageable and one sounds like a windtunnel.

My EVGA card is very quiet except when you get it under heavy gaming load. Then it sounds like a normal case fan on high http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130621

My MSI card is loud all the time and runs very hot. When it gets a load on it my computer sounds like its about to take off from a runway. I had to get some closed headphones so I didn't hear it when gaming. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127552

Water cooling is the best way to go about making a silent rig.

If it's an option you should consider it
