It's extremely easy. You move the analogue stick until the reticule is over the target.

See? That easy.

Seriously though, it's not hard once you get used to it. When I first started gaming on consoles my walking and turning were both on the left stick with my look up down and strafe on my right stick, now me trying that configuration now would be so alien because I'm used to walking and strafing on left stick with looking and turning on right stick.

You're simply used to keyboard and mouse, control pads are alien to you. If you had used a pad for several years you'd probably be quite proficient with it.

Anyways realistically , around $500 is a budget gaming PC and that doesn't even get you a monitor, peripherals and most important an OS.

Except an Xbox 360 can't be a personal computer, it only plays the games.

And how can you count in a monitor as the cost? With that logic, add the cost of a TV to the Xbox.

60FPS is not considered smooth in PC gaming. Not by any means, lol.

You miss the point. Most people already have a prebuilt in their homes. Okay? Now they decide to get something that will allow them to game. They can either choose a cheap GPU or a console. That's it. That's the budget choices.

Since pretty much everyone already has a prebuilt at home, it should not be included in the price.

Though if one only has a laptop or something, then the complete PC price has to be included.

Playing FPS on consoles is dumb.

It is hard in a game without autoaim and bullet magnetism. If you used your gamepads on an actual FPS shooter on a PC you wouldn't hit a soul before you got two in the head and one in the chest.

Console gamers think aiming vs keyboard/mouse is easy~ but they don't realize they've been playing with training wheels on tricycles every time they push the center button on their controller and pay money for the latest set of five maps.

And some PC gamers have no idea what is truly alluring about consoles. So? Neither of these facts are relevant in terms of 'news'.

Hi PC fanboy, allow me to enlighten you and the likely dozens of others just like you browsing this very thread: It isn't called auto-aim, it's called aim assist. Auto-aim is a tool that automatically puts the crosshairs over your enemy, the likes of which you've possibly seen in PC gaming or if you were a console gamer in the Halo 2 modding times. Aim assist is when there is a very minute 'pull' or reduction in sensitivity as the crosshairs pass over an enemy player. This feature is not present in all console games, or is toggle-able like in Borderlands or Call of Duty MW2. This is to make up for the inherent disadvantages to controlling precisely with your thumbs. Obviously when you are comparing the precision of thumbs and a whole hand, the hand will have the upper-hand. Couple that fact with using a mouse, which is a very dialed in device for precision, you obviously have a great advantage over a user with a controller.

If you look at this entire argument with the facts that I have just presented to you, and then reread your post, what would you think? Because as I have just done that, it is pretty humorous and puts you in a bad light in terms of arrogance (commonly known as fanboyism) which resulted in you doing the opposite of what you intended; you gave a bad impression of the very platform you hold so high.

The PC is a far more flexible tool. If all the PC could do was play games and media, you could compare them, but that is not the case. You can't compare the two directly based on price, because they do not have the same capabilities.

So the price of one to the other is entirely irrelevant without making a value judgement.

...What?
The vast majority of people use a 60hz monitor, so I'd assume 60FPS is considered "smooth". Not "smooth-est", but smooth.

Yea I got messed up cause I've been reading about project cafe which is supposed to have something similar to a 4870.

So, I overestimated the power of a PS3, and its still sad in perspective... a 4870 > PS3 and a 4870 is less than $90 now...

Seriously, if they could just turn consoles into a bootable OS and have "Console Certified" components, which wouldn't be hard, we'd all be much better off, and save a bit of money while we're at it...

It could only really be smooth if the game had motion blur or if it was a slow paced RPG. In everything else, the 60hz limit shows very clearly.

It's tolerably smooth, but not "smooth"
