Just to add to that. On a lazy Sunday this is what I use my PC for:

Play games
Watch TV
DVD's/Digital movies
Work/Study
Email/ Twitter
Read local/world news
Make voice calls
Browse internet - youtube/justin tv (being able to take advantage of any format).
Play music

A lot of the time I'm doing several of these things at the same. So even if PC's are more expensive I'm using it for more purposes than I would console . Well worth it.

And no, your experience doesn't mean that much. I can go into BestBuy or Walmart and look at the 120hz televisions. They look smooth-er, but certainly not enough to warrant their price, and I certainly don't need that much. It almost looks unnaturally smooth, in my opinion.
And your misinformation leads to your downfall. 120hz TVs aren't real 120hz. They achieve it using different sorts of interlacing techniques and such, making it look very unnatural

Real 120hz is a different thing. Or more, like my monitors.

Nice to see the same old blanket stereotypes and opinions-represented-as-fact regurgitated all over this puke-stain of a thread. Not at all surprising to see it here, but Johan's statement is somewhat baffling. Insulting a massive portion of your customer base?

He'll be getting an earful from EA's marketing division for that one.

EDIT: saw the last one, disregard
Regardless, 60 FPS is smooth. You can disagree, but you're disagreeing with 90%+ of the gaming population.

only reason I have a console(xbox360) is so I can play Madden lol other then that PC..

Like I was reading on here that someone else said.. You can't compare PC to Console prices as the PC does way more than a console so really.. the price of a pc vs console is irrelevant.

Not everybody know how to build PCs so console gamers would have some generic $400 PC
said pc would have a garbage 300w psu you'd have to upgrade that
Ram is also most likely pretty generic with high CL and low Mhz
monitor is probably not 1080p HD because really if you're not gaming why would you have a 1080p monitor?
You can't OC it

So You'd need a PSU, videocard, monitor, and better ram
which is about $550 in upgrades on top of the initial $400. or buy a prebuilt system for $1200+
yeah that's not really cheaper
So console gaming really is much cheaper which is why i have a console AND my PC
My 360 costs me $150 and came with a **** ton of games that i don't even play

Maybe they should do some research then. People who are to ignorant to do these things really should be on a console.

I built my first computer when I was about 13/14, no reason others can't do the same especially when it is much simpler now. Plus most people do have the internet which makes finding a guide on how to do everything that much easier again.

Saying people don't know how to build PC's as an excuse is pretty lame when they could just google it to find out how easy it actually is.

I think that the initial cost of a PC is obviously higher, but if you take that out of the equation, there's really no other reason to play on a console(outside of exclusives). My PC will get infinitely better graphics and run smoother. Not to mention the games are cheaper then on XBOX and PS3. And you can plug your Xbox controller right into your PC and use it like that if you prefer a controller. If you like achievements, many games let you earn them towards your xbox360 profile as well. I understand that it is more expensive but you get what you pay for, and a PC can outperform every console ever made combined.
