Help me pick the right fan - Page 2

Thread Starter
Just had a friend recommend the CoolerMaster Excalibur.Don't know anything about em other than it has dbl bb.Which is good for mounting in the horizontal.
Heh heh , well it's turning out to be a tough call on what to get.
Sounds like the Scythe GT's are great but make noise.Noctuas suck for being on a Rad.Yates wont work in the horizontal so that's out. lol
So, what I need is a magical non existant fan that has dbl bb.Spins to around 1800rpm.And doesn't call every dog in the neighborhood with a high pitch whine when turned up. And of course doesn't break the bank.
Funny, so many fans & so little to choose from.

Please don't get me wrong guys. I love the xtra help.I do have time to make the right choice. So, all of your opinions are greatly appreciated. ;-)

One thing about the GTs, though, once you turn them down a bit with a controller that sound goes away. I can only hear that sound when they are going full speed, and even then I need to get close.

If I may be so bold, GT's are one of the best sound to performance ratio fans you'll find in the medium fan speed range. Definitely don't let that high pitch sound detour you, it's not that bad, and there is a very good reason they are sold out and people post when they are back in stock all over the forums. They are great fans.
