Hey, my friend asked me to build him a new computer. His budget is around 1500$.
I was wondering if you guys have any advice on my build, that would be very appreciated. I will be ordering this today.

Here it goes, I will be getting all the parts from www.newegg.ca

If it were me I would:
1. Swap the HD out with a Samsung 1TB (cheaper, better speed),
2. Go with 4GB memory,
3. Grab a 2500k
and use the savings to get something such as crossfire 6950's instead of the 570 - it would be much more powerful configuration, otherwise use the savings to get a boot SSD which would make the computer noticeably snappier

Also, not sure if you have this included in your price, but you might want some sort of optical drive?

Two small changes:
1) Go Modular, you will be glad you did: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16817139012
2) Better heat sink for not much more money: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...GMATEK%20aegir
3) Stick with the 2600k, they rock.
4) Don't plan a new build with SLI or Crossfire, get the best single card, and in a couple years, add in a second one to keep the computer viable. The ONLY exceptions to this rule I can think of is either a ludicrous budget, requirement for several monitors, or a folding farm.

one of the most important questions people seem to leave out, what will be his primary use for the rig?
