Temperature issues with 2600k (Yeah, I searched) - Page 3

The Noctua NH-D14 is a better cooler than any of the currently available H-series. I haven't seen the numbers on the H100, though.

I'd wait a bit for H80/H100.

Another vote here to wait for H80/H100 benchmarks to surface. They look to be some very good competition against current top end air coolers.

As an alternate, if you plan to buy your own fans, you should consider the Cogage Arrow, which is cheaper than both the SA/D14 and performs very close to them.

When I clocked my 2600k to 4.7GHz @1.42V on my Noctua temps max reached 70C
I think maybe bad airflow in case, not so good heatsink, to much or less TIM, all of these factors impact your temps.
Maybe it's time to get new cooler

Tim ?

Thank you all for your suggestions. Much appreciated.

I've left realtemp running for the past 3days of video editing and never seen above 60c. I think I'm pretty stable for what I need. The only reason I think I need to get a new cooler is for getting 4.8+++. Which right now I don't know if it will do that much for me.

I'll keep an eye on the newer corsairs. I didint know they were coming out with them.

Also that's quite a bit of core to get 4.7 but that looks like a low temp for that amount of core.
