Over-kill. I will pull one of my 260s out and still run it fine.

Someone leaked info about SW:TOR's performance. He was running a dual core and an "old Nvidia GPU".

That's all I know. I wouldn't be surprised if an Athlon II X2 can run it along with a 8800GT or so. After all, they're making it on DX9 and have no DX10 plans as of right now... that I know of. They're really aiming for it to be compatible with nearly anything out there.

Then again the 3GB GTX 680 may be out by then and I could get that.

I'll be getting that. We will see how it tackles BF3.

The Witcher 2 runs on DX9 only and looks amazing.

Those of you who are talking about how bad this game looks, have you seen the most recent game videos? They're not up to par with Crysis sure, but it looks damn good for a mmo.

Have you seen recent images? Also remember that videos/demos so far have been on Tatooine (not the most detailed planet) and haven't been set to max graphics. As mentioned, it's not ZOMG graphics, but it's definitely better than WoW.

Upgrading for BF3 in October. Not many MMO's worth upgrading for since they usually have pretty subpar graphics.

Is this game even coming out this year though?

They are still shooting for 2011. Upgrading for this game would be a fail for sure.

This game doesn't seem to be very high on the graphics requirements... and why should it be? The game is supposed to be able to be played by as many people as possible. When they first started developing this game ~3-4 years ago they normally develop games around the current or year later graphics standard. I have a friend with a XFX 8800GT and I still see him having no issues running this game. People talking about needing a 560+ are out of their minds, I could see a 460 do just fine at extremely high settings... possibly even lower. With that said, this is all speculation... we could be surprised. Hopefully they develop it so people with above average computers can take advantage of it and others with below average/average consumer computer can also play without many issues... that's the sweet spot for MMOs.

This will most likely be the case.

The game will most likely work like a charm already on everyone's current builds here. Though I personally decided to upgrade anyhow, looking at the upcoming titles like BF3, skyrim etc I feel the need for more PC power so I can enjoy the games on maximum settings

If it will squeeze a few extra fps or be more fluent in heavy populated areas in SWTOR ... I'm a happy man as well. WoW claims to run on any system as well, but try going into one of the major cities during prime time and you quickly notice a difference ...
