MSI P67A-GD55 Issue

Hi everybody, I am new to these forums, I just need some help. Just over a month ago I purchased a MSI P67A-GD55, and i5 2500k and some G.Skill Ripjaws 4GB. Basically I put the system together in a old case and it worked beautifully.

When I recently got paid from work I brought a Coolermaster Haf X nvidia edition case and transferred all the components into it. The board would not move past post, would come on for a second and switch off, so I tried everything from removing everything and just trying to start it, to trying another psu, etc. Still dead even in its old case, I heard about the problem with the coolermaster haf x's where it can short at the top panel but it is the revised one.

Basically I then ordered the same motherboard as I could not send it back to ebuyer as it had been over a month, and now I have to RMA it with MSI, and I couldnt wait 2-3 weeks as I need my computer, and this time it does boot but takes extermely long to get into windows and when it does it hangs and then BSODs. It managed that afew times and now wont even do that. I tested the memory with MSI memory tester and 1 off the sticks failed so I took 1 out and it passed. Then I swapped them and the failed one also passed. I also booted in to memtest64 and it worked for around 20seconds then hangs and freezes like windows does.

Does this sound like motherboard or CPU, By the way I have not overclocked anything, everything is stock, I am sending the new motherboard back and maybe trying another board like gigabyte but I do now want to put it together and it blows again, has anybody had the same experience with this.

I am really upset as now I have nearly spent around £700 for something that doesnt work, I would appreciate any help, I would also like any recommendations of any good P67 boards.

Sorry for the long post.
Thanks
Yusuf
