Vertex 3 slow bench

Looks like I have problems getting the high speeds from this Vertex3 240GB SSD.

Attachment 216268

Anyone got any ideas to get it up to it's 500MB read/write?

Are you a on a SATAII or SATAIII bus, b/c you won't max out that drive on SATAII.

They are super fast, I've installed a couple in customer builds.

Hmm...both revisions of your mobo are SATA 3, which means you should be getting ~fullish speeds.

Are you sure you've connected the drive to a proper SATA 3 port?
I seem to be getting rated speeds.

Like everybody else has said, make sure it's plugged into a SATA3 port, not a SATA2 port. I can switch mine to SATA2 and see how it benches if you need me to.

I believe your slow speeds are due to the fact that you're running an X58 motherboard which uses Marvell SATA controllers rather than Intel.

I believe this guy had your problem: http://www.overclock.net/ssd/1006607...ated-pics.html
