True dat.

I was planning to cool the memory also (just for the hell of it) but now I don't really see the point with this layout.

which is why i tell people to wait..

Wait is the best recourse.. because u get all the revsions.

And when your spending 300 on blocks... its sucks to realize they dont fit.

Yup. The only things to even consider buying early is heat exchangers, and pumps...buying fittings/tubing is a crapshoot although odds are unless you're wanting to run 1/2in ID 3/4" OD compression fittings you might get away with it...with how big LGA2011 is, one could gamble on fitting spacing being very spread out.

Blocks are a big no-no IMHO.

when a new starter tells EK for example.. OMG.... EK will go WHAT?
If i tell EK OMGBBQ!!! EK goes oh shoot... get ready for a naekuh nuke...

No but seriously... the question is CAN U FIX it if it doesnt work?
And not a lot of people can.
Because a custom builder first off, does not like modifying...
not to mention a starter does not know how to fix it, without ruining it.

Agreed. I'm planning to buy the GPU(s) and block(s) together. They vary drastically. I'll be gambling a bit by buying the CPU block beforehand but I may hold off on that too.

why on earth would you buy parts now for a build you're doing 6 month later? sounds ridiculous

I don't see the big deal getting blocks early 99% of the time like EK they refresh their inventory for brackets that fit current CPUs. I'm hold on my M8 build for Sandy-bridge E or Ivy-bridge more than likely Ivy-bridge because I want to make my 1090T feel like its met it's worth.
