So, i recently installed my 2500k, And i was wondering if i may have damaged it doing the install...

How do i know? it seems to run fine

If it runs it's fine, cpu are very sensitive so if you did real damage it wouldn't work

Nah, i might have pressed it a bit...
but 45 percent (usage) playing tf2... is that normal?

I don't use intel but my processor seems to take a lot for the light games but has no problem with the high CPU games either.

If your FPS is fine while its at 45%, why worry? What usage is your GPU at? And vsync?

my FPS is stable at 120 drops to 90... i Just hope that when i get the 600 series, when that comes around, that my rig will run them high end games

It will run high end games fine with a 600 series gpu, but the wait will be for another 8 months or so. I see you getting a 6870 soon... good choice =)

Also your motherboard ... the H61 might not be providing stable power for such a powerful cpu. I don't know if lower end motherboard has to do with cpu load. All I know is lower end boards are for more economical applications like internet surfing and office processes. Maybe someone with more experience can chime in. But for sure if you plan to OC your cpu you probably won't be getting much out of the motherboard, and its a waste for your cpu, as its one of the best unlocked OC-ing cpus out there.
