Thread Starter
Last year my friend bought a core i7 960 with a AMD6990, and he already had a core 2 duo e6300(OEM) and he asked me to post here that he has a 5670 at home(not beingused) so he thought he could add it in the e6300 rather thn selling it......But he thinks he might fry his PSU(305W(OEM)) so should he add it so that his son could play games in it because he doesnt allow his son to sit on the core i7!!!!!!!!!!

The 5670 doesn't need external power, it just draws from the PCI-E slot.

400w is recommended by ATI/AMD

If you friends power supply is up to the job it should be fine. That and if it has a PCI-E X16 slot.
