Its definitely an improvement over standard hard drives - it has a 4GB SSD built into it and cuts down boot times by ~ 1/2 - they are pretty much exactly between a typical SSD and a regular HD in terms of speed.

If you can't buy a dedicated SSD and Hard Drive, this would be the next best thing

Got one in my laptop my boot up times went from 1.28 secons from touching the power on button to

23 seconds thats 1 min 5 second De-crease!

It's a good drive it vibrates a little but not too bad and it doesnt suck the power out of my battery either.

Defo worth the money.

For the price, I'm more inclined to get a very fast and large WD Black.

Momentus XT cuts boot time and repeat use tasks, but 4GB isn't really enough to see any benefit for a lot of things... like games.

Definitely not worth it in a desktop.

$90 for 500GB.

I would save up for a 30-60GB for $60-70 and a 500GB for $35-45 (or a 1TB for $55). It not that much more but waaaaaaaay better performance.
Once again...
