stock cooling won't even perform good in prime at stock speeds.... so i see your point

Venemous-X is one of the BEST coolers on the market, and the damn thing comes with a fan so you won't have to pay a surplus for one.

See you said above "If this is not the best~ I better not be disappointed" but did you want the BEST or did you just want a budget cooler?

Everyone here recommended to you, a budget cooler~ it's pretty damn good, but only due to its price for performance.
wow! way to post AFTER i get it ordered.... i was asking a while ago..... now i will have to get that next time i get some money...,.. ouch my aching wallet lol

stock cooler on the 1155 cpu suck, mine got stock when I was running stock clocks and waiting for my cpy block to arrive. i have never, ever trusted the oem cooler to oc. not that high, you're just looking for trouble imo.

Phantasmor, I just went from that Coolermaster HyperX (used as a temporairy heatsink until I finished paying for my watercooling loop). Yes, I bought this to NOT use the stock cooler for 2 weeks.

Thats how bad they suck.

This hyperX while using the included fan which was obviously chosen for low dba and not cfm, gave incredibly low temperatures. When I put a 120x38 Ultra Kaze fan on it, temps were EVEN BETTER!

These guys aren't lying to you, the stock cooling isn't even a piece of quality copper. Its actually around 1/2 the size of what they used to use in the Pentium 4 and Core 2 days. (seems weird saying that about core 2).

Intel KNOWS nobody that knows uses stock coolers, and as some of you know the hard way as I did for a build, there are a lot of i5 CPU on the market that don't include a cooler.

THAT STOCK **** STINKS

Can't cancel it? It's too late~? x.x Oh well~ ish not bad... dude anything~ ANYTHING would be better than the stock cooler. The stock cooler literally is made to be the cheapest cooler on the planet. It's Intel basically feeling FORCED to tack on a heatsink for the most bare minimum. They can't sell the things by themselves.

If they could go without adding one in there, they probably would (and do~ through OEM) they have to make the cheapest thing possible so the price won't hike itself up because of it~ thus it's SO cheap and lame... that the price barely figures into the total price of the processor. It's literally a hunk of metal crap. XD

Don't worry~ the 212 you got will be pretty awesome, and hey~ you saved some money for when you do finally get a super premium cooler it'll be the one you want. I spent weeks trying to choose the perfect cooler~ but I already had my Zalman 9700NT and it's pretty good, but I dare say yours will probably be much better than even this and I do like 75c at 4.8ghz on Prime. Don't fret~

You need to re-seat that cooler if you want optimal air flow. It should look like THIS.

I recommend adding a second fan if you really want great temps with it or getting better thermal paste. Thermal paste application is key with the 212+ as well. THIS THREAD has a wealth of information on it thanks to PapaSmurf.

This will help you with Thermal Paste on the 212+ as well.
