I think this has become a problem w/ the FPS genre. Its like CoD set a standard that was already there but never recognized.

Nice! In 12 years after I have some kids and the new Duke game comes out, we can have a family game to play. I started playing Duke Nukem 3D at 7, so should my kids.

Too bad DNF seemed like a flop.

Well, yes, but it was still a very linear game. The levels were just more confusing and blocky

agreed, yet duke3d had the feeling of being in a big world with plenty of choices, while the new duke does not (and tbh i think hes a bit too small )
