overclock overheat

okay, i have my i7 950 overclocked to 3.7 ghz right now, with the voltages pretty low, and whenever i run a stress test the temps go above 80! i have liquid cooling which seems to be working fine.

Well, apparently not. If you're certain your coolant is flowing correctly and your fans/radiators are adequate, the next step might be re-mounting your CPU water block.

When I had my i7 950 at 3.7ghz with 1.34v, it never went above 60c during a prime 95 stress test on water. I have it now at 4.08ghz with 1.26V and it never gets over 72c during prime 95. Something is wrong with your water cooling setup. What were the temps before the overclock?

i have a 120mm rad with 3/8 tubing. im not sure if its flowing fine, how could i tell?

What pump do you have? Also, a single 120mm radiator might not be enough for an i7.

What kind of pump and what radiator do you have? You might not be getting enough flow and IMO you should get a 360 rad (RX360 is a great rad) and fit it up top of that 800D.

I have my 950 at 4ghz Ht on @ 1.250v and load temps are 78c with a Cooler Master V8. Never seen 80c with air cooling. A single rad should be fine for that overclock. H50 works.
