Silverstone Strider Gold 1200W.. CLICK HERE FOR REVIEW

But it doesn't come cheap though..

You don't want to skimp on a PSU with 3 way SLI GTX480..

It would handle those GTX's OC'd and CPU OC'd easily..

A OC'd GTX480 in games pulls ~300W and at STOCK clocks ~ 250W..

CHEERS..

"recommend me a psu for 3 gtx 480"
A nuclear power plant!
A good 1200 should be good, not cheap like mentioned above...especially if heavy clocking... Two of my cards alone stock take over 700 watts out entire system loaded...
lol JK, show some benches as I wanted to compare to my sig rig...

http://www.guru3d.com/article/geforc...-sli-review/14

thats a good link right there for you... Seeing that I don't think 1200 will be enough overclocked...

you want some benches of my rig to yours?

are 2600k are less power hungry compared to a 17 965?

now i need to know how many watts these psu's can actually pump out.

Yeah just for fun... mines is all stock... You system should should beat mines especially overclocked and faster gaming processor...
Maybe if you had much older drivers i'd stand a chance but I am still curious...

ok ill find some that ive done before. your drives with on par with my one drive.

back on topic... been reading review and it says my psu's peak power is 1100 watts. do you think i will be ok with the cards at stock and just the cpu clocked?

3d mark vantage i can clock higher there from a while ago. sort of give up clocking for now

That Silverstone Strider Gold 1200 can really deliver clean 1200W (100A) continuous and 1300W max.. (read the review)

It would be enough for overclocked 3 way SLI GTX480..

A 1KW PSU would not be enough for oveclocked 3 way SLI GTX480..

The cards by them self would pull over 900W when overclocked..

For stock clocks it would be fine as GTX480 @ STOCK pulls ~250W in games.. (so ~ 750W for 3x GTX480)

if i had 3 480 i dont think i would need to clock them for a good while anyway.

how much would you say a 2600k@4.8 and rest of set up plus water kit takes?
