NH D14 or stick with Noctua NH-U12

Hey guys im not sure whether to get the NH-D14 now or not. I know its a beast of a cooler but im waiting for ivy bridge and wasnt sure if i should wait til then, so i would get a new CPU aswell as a new NH-D14. My cooler is pretty good atm but with the NH-D14 i dont know whether its a 'want' or a 'need' lol. What are your thoughts guys? Think i should wait for the Ivy bridge CPUs or just go with it now? Im not entirely sure when ivy bridge is out, think its around this time next year?? Thanks!

I'm going to say its more of a "want" than "need" Its really a massive heatsink that doesn't really get that much better of temps than what you have, especially for the amount of $$ that you would pay. Grab a Corsair H100 or Rasa240 kit if you want better temps for ~ same price.

Ok thanks alot. Yeah.........it is a want isnt it lol. I know they are massive and as i have quite a bit of RAM i was unsure. I like the look of the Corsair H series so i was thinking about that as a backup anyway.

EDIT: Is the Corsair 100 going to be compatable with ivy bridge? Probably a bit early to ask i guess...
