D2D accounts will probably carry over, I reckon.

Also this is quite good news, I've been complaining for the past 6 months about Gamefly not having PC stuff available.

Rentable PC games ala gametap? Could only imagine. confused.gif

Did they really get bought out? What about millions of us customers who have accounts listed and our games? My games are there and my account info and everything. Now gone? I'm really ticked off. They better not removed everything after all these games we bought and is in the account. I want it back!
I'm sure everything will transfer. I'm worried about my $20 off coupon that I have to use by the end of the month. I better still get to use it.

Plus, it was announced that Gamefly bought D2D about a month ago and their site was still up till today sometime. You would think there would be some info on why it is down now, but I have not ran into anything yet.

I already have steam but that doesn't solve any problems dude lol. I paid for these games already on Direct2Download and you think it solves my problem just to go on steam and BUY another game? DUH?

I think the website is just having issues. I just went there, and it loaded all the website text, but no styles and only some of the pictures.

What is this 'Direct2Download' you keep speaking of? We here are talking about 'Direct2Drive'. The way you keep mentioning that makes me think you are talking about something else. Lol

The IGN PC store doesn't seem to want to load properly for me either. Maybe they are working on both sites? Or hacked for lulz?

Edit - Seems to be back up now.

I love Steam for the deals but given the choice I still like the retail version assuming it has reasonable DRM... Maybe I just a little paranoid but that way if Steam ever does get taking down I will not loose everything.
