Suggestion box

Thread Starter
I propose we have a suggestion box... maybe make this thread sticky. No replies or arguments or discussions, only suggestions for the "BOSS" to consider and to reply to or NOT without criticism.

My first suggestions are:

1) Publish BGB prizes and minimum participation levels to make them available in a sticky thread. That may attract more folks. Make being an Overclock.Net BOINC member for at least 32 days a requirement to get the prize, limit them to two prizes per year max.

2) FIX the BGB scoring method to make it fool proof. Many methods possible including the 20 minute double screen shot method.

3) Have another sticky for special recognition, like most improved points output on given projects (not BOINC totals), highlights for team standings, etc. Idea is keep it easy, simple, and in one spot for everyone to see quickly.

Seeing things helps to motivate participation IMHO. Visibility is always a good attraction...

Never thought of doing that until you brought it up. Starting with August's, I will be placing all the info members need for BOINCers Gone Bonkers in its own sticky so that its easy to access and will also cut down on the length of OP. As for the requirements, I think that our current requirements are good. Making a 32 day requirement may prevent some new members from even signing up for it.

I don't think anything is really wrong with the points. They are not meant to be exact by any means. I always double check with BOINCstats when the random number generator determines a winner to make sure they satisfied the requirements.

Ahh that sounds like a very good one! Going to get on that when I get the chance to.

I sagest a countdown timer for up and coming events maybe one that starts up to 5days in advance (for some events) because if you are in different time zones it can become confusing
And it could also show the run-out time so we are sure when it ends
what do ya think
