Gaming and multi-purpose laptop under $1000?

I am selling my MBP 13 Inch for $900 to my friend and will be picking up a laptop sometime in late July under $1000. It will mainly be used for some gaming while I am on vacation or at a family members house, and for file transfer. Here are the requirements:

Under $1000

Preferably HDMI out port

Preferably something higher than 1366x768. 1600x900 works great, anything higher is fine too

Decent battery life. Preferably higher than 2 hours for light browsing

Brand new. I don't really like refurbished things

No HP or Dell. I have had horrible experiences with their products and customer service.

So, what would you guys recommend? I was thinking of a Sager but my friends told me not to get it since apparently their customer service sucks. I have heard some extremely positive things about XoticPC, so that would be fine. Acer and ASUS are fine too.

Edit: Also, I forgot to note, it MUST be a minimum price of $800. Nothing below $800. $800-$1000 please. Including shipping and Tax, must not go over $1000.

Probably anything with the new AMD chips in them will work.

Another vote for the Sager NP 5165 or NP 5160. Both are solid gamers for less than a grand. If you rice out the NP 5165 with the 95% gamut matte screen you're right there at a grand. Worth it IMO, but may not be to you.
