5770 to 460 too little upgrade for me

actually i went 4830 to 460 and was not so impressed (now i can enable 4xaa or 8xaa that is all)

6850 is a little better, but the real question should be, 460 with nearly 900mhz vs 6850 heavy oc??

The 6870 is not an option since I have to make the purchase soon without a budget change.

The card will roughly be the same price as the 6850 yet it is 10% slower. The only way I can change my mind from the 6850 to the GTX 460 is if the latter overclocks much better.

Based on that review, I guess GTX 460 1GB @900 Mhz is on par with AMD 6850 @1000 Mhz. But I still think the deal I gave you is a great deal.
Anyway, you can't go wrong with either one.

I personally have the MSI PE/OC Edition 6850 And it performs great.

Runs at 950/1125 , On stock voltage , No problem , Havnt pushed it for more. Also card MAX'S out at around 57Degree's ( tho its in an Antec 1200 ). idels around 37Degree's ( MSI makes tit Gfx cards )

Its a great card you will be very happy with it , and performance is great in Xfire if you ever chose to go down that road

Note though , if you plan on playing BF bad company , Do not use the newest afterburner softwear ( cant unlock volts ) As it cause's crash's in game. Dont know if 11.6 Fixed this as im on 11.5

Since it seems that the 460's overclock much better than the 6850's i would go with a 460.but if you can stretch the budget a little you can get a 470 for 149 after rebate http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-616-_-Product
