No EVGA GTX 470's anymore?

Thread Starter
My birthday is coming up and I was planning to add another 470 to the sig rig . I looked around, and I'm not seeing many EVGA GTX 470's anymore. I know they are being phased out an all, just a little bummed trying to find a EVGA 470 in good condition or new for a good price. Can anyone point me in the right direction or suggest an idea? I'd like to stick with EVGA cards too.

I have a EVGA GTX 470 SC'd 1280mb (with high flow bracket and backplate)

Thank you this is exactly what I needed. Just one more thing. When you bought those 260's. Any wear or damage showing when you received them? Not that it is a big deal. It's just nice to have two good looking cards in a rig.

EVGA also has a new 470 in stock at the moment (they sell out quickly) if you are concerned about buying used and want a new card with a lifetime warranty:
http://www.evga.com/products/moreInf...family=GeForce 400 Series Family&sw=
They are $259.99 with free shipping.
But the B Stock card that mothow posted is a good price, over 80 bucks cheaper. If it has no issues then it's going to do the same thing a new one will.
I certainly recommend getting a second 470 for sli, since you already have one. I did the same thing after I had my EVGA 480 for a few months, I bought a Zotac 480 AMP (new) for about 250 bucks less than I paid for the EVGA card at launch. These first-gen fermi's really scale well together in sli, quite a big performance increase with two of them.

vinzor if you go with ether of these cards then make sure to run your Sc card in the first PCIe slot, this will make both cards run at the SC speeds with out having to do a BIOS flash

This is what I will be doing

I would buy a used ref ASUS, MSI, or Gigabyte card first so it would have warranty. Newegg has EVGA recon cards in stock. $150 after mail in rebate. Very bad reviews.

EDIT, you can buy new Ref Zotac at Microcenter in newyork for $199 after MIR.

haha..
I am exactly in your shoes.. And all the input above is spot on.
The only thing that turns me off about the EVGA card*2nd for sli is no back plate and stuff as I too got the same card as you.
B-stock atm is the route with out paying the premium price, and I've been told that it's the best bang for the buck at the moment *SLI 470's.
Good luck man and happy modding.!!!

I've been looking around on the internet with my dad. The B stock card is a great find yes. Thank you for the info though. I don't think I will be able to afford a new card. Slightly used or used once is fine by me.

You can do that?

Thank's v1ral. You too. Just wish I could find a backplate. Hate the look of PCB on a GFX card. But this is going to be my bottom card so it won't look that bad.
