2.1 Computer Speakers!!! We need the best contenders!!! - Page 7

OP wanted a 2.1 speaker set with tons of bass & crisp highs. Corsair SP-2500 will fit his requirement like a T. Logitech Z-2300 are not available anymore. That was a good speaker set for its price.

The 8 inch sub of SP-2500 produces gobs of bass & independent tweeters produce crisp highs. So I will tell the OP to give a look at SP-2500.

And I am tired of seeing threads belonging to 2.1 speaker ending up with bookshelves recommendations. I means both have their pluses and minus.

A guy who wants a party atmosphere with floor rattling power and booming trance tracks pumping through their veins will go for SP-2500 or Z-2300. This is what the OP wants.

A person buys near field monitor to sit close to it and hear music at its utmost detail. OP do not want that.

And please stop talking about "sound quality". I once raised a thread "What is sound quality?" in a very well known & respected audio forum which went for almost five pages participated by true audiophiles. We concluded very few people know what "sound quality" really means.

General members & (always there to comment members) of that forum where blown away by those audiophiles.

All people think about sound quality is "what good in my ears have good sound quality"

Subjectively that may be the case. But objectively --> THAT IS NOT ALWAYS THE CASE.

And remember, "sound quality" or "audio quality" is a scientific term. And scientific terms are always objective.

So objectively, what good on your ears may not posses the best sound quality.

Sound quality is flat, accurate, and detailed reproduction of sound without distortion or artifacts?
Bookshelves are just as viable for parties as 2.1 computer speakers. That said, neither are made for parties. The SP2500 will not be enough for a large recreation-style room. For the regular-sized room the OP is talking about, the Klipsch 2.1 are probably perfect.

Lol. You again.

If someone is buying speakers for a party, they normally go for something that can fill a large room with sound. Neither of those sets of computer speakers can do such a thing. I don't know about you, but I don't host parties in my 10'x12' office.
