Should i have vsync on or off? - Page 3

I like playing with it OFF because the mouse feels way more accurate with it OFF. Anyone know how to get the same mouse feeling with it ON?

Using triple-buffering with vsync will get rid of the input lag. Use D3DOverrider from the Rivatuner installer to force it on.

Off... it really is personal preference since you either cant stand the input lag with it on or you cant stand the screen tearing with it off...

Exactly

I like it on, no tearing helps me more... But I play all my FPS' on consoles, not my PC.

On a side note, you do NOT always get input lag from it. Depends on your rig and the rest of your settings. If your rig can handle it, V-Sync on does not mean you will get input lag for certain.

I have triple buffering on all the time, and notice no input lag with V-Sync on

On, and it isn't as much a hog of resources as people make it seem. Barely eats 2 frame rates in most games.

Screen tearing really bugs me so I always turn it on. Some people don't seem to notice but even a little bit drives me crazy.

It all depends on the game and what kind of frame rates you are getting with it off as well as if you are getting any tearing and/or input lag on said game. In short, user preference on a game to game basis.

the answer to this question is the same as what dpi to use on a mouse. Depends on the game and depends on personal preference.

also i've never noticed the input lag thing ppl talk about maybe its because I use 800 dpi and am used to moving my arm a bit to get my mouse cursor anywhere.

On as much as possible, otherwise, when you do notice the screentears, your character/car/whatever will look like it's been unintentionally stretched.
