Maximus IV Extreme Z68 or z68 UD7

Thread Starter
Guys help,

I've been trying to decide which one to order since last week but I sincerely love both motherboards. Which one would you recommend and why?

Btw, both fit my needs and budget.

Can't go wrong with either one. Maximus IV Extreme Z68 is the one I'd pick to to color scheme and it's a Maximus. =) performance will be the same.

If you're planning on SLI it would be better to use the UD7. The Maximus doesn't run cards at 16x in SLI whereas the UD7 does. I have the UD7. It's a great board.

Eventually, the color scheme does not matter as much as the features and quality of the motherboard.

Hey Alex and friends,

I am expecting my ud7 to arrive anytime this week. just quick question regarding the sli support: I am going to install two gtx 580 [SLI] and a dedicated gtx 570 for physx

will the two sli cards run on 16x while the 570 be running at 8x ?

or am I doing something wrong with my configuration ?

thanx in advance
