temps are low id say, at least for air max on the cores 70-72c, vregs 45-47 and mem 42-44c, but idle the cores are around 16-17c, vregs 13-15 and mems 12-14c

I have a question, what is a reference card?
Welcome
As you may have already noticed there are two types of cards.
Reference:Standard PCB design, standard cooler, which has the purpose of being compatible and anticipatable with varios types of agendas, like for example to install a waterblock
Also if you noticed, that is why Reference Cards are always the ones being released first. Then there are of course the Non Reference cards.
With the main purpose of performance, cooling and aesthetic improvent over the Reference models.
Which is why you will find most Non Ref cards to have special sorts of coolers, to be factory overclocked and enhanced with other performance increasing means and also mostly have a nicer look

Considering us and your question which probably formed during reading the sheets.
A Non ref card would for example be
a.)GTX 580 Lightning
b.)GTX 580 DCII
(Pretty much every card that doesn't say Reference^^)

And Reference cards are the ones designated with the term Ref.

Hope that cleared up

Finally got 3DMark11 to run w/o crashing, but I had to give it stupid amounts of voltage for the clocks I run. I normally run at stock voltage at these clocks, but 3DMark11 always crashes. I probably should have unplugged one of my monitors, I imagine that would have improved my score, but I'm too lazy to do that and run it again.
