I recommend you to ckeck out the pages 35-56 as they contain exactly the information you need

Also would I like to refer you to our spreadsheets posted on page 118 and 129 ...on it we have the entire club's OC results.
Check out the SLI sheet of course^^.
Alot of us posess a Lightning...there you will find some guidance of how our members did it with their achieved scores and experience

For a quick simple overclock, just slowly increase your Core clocks in an intervall of 15MHZ, then aftee every increase test your clocks with benchmarks or stress tests, do so until you experience instabilities such as driver crashes, artifacting etc.
At that point you will have reached your maximum under stock voltage.
If you after that would like to go higher just post back cause then the real fun starts

Also make sure your fan setting is set on high and keep an eye on your temps.
Good Luck
Edit:Also due to your 3GB RAM the chips might limit the extent of your Memory OC.
So please leave the Memory OC out for now and just concentrate on the Core.

I am still a bit confused about memory clock. Should I best leave it alone? >_>

No problem I will explain further.

The Lightning Xtreme has 3 GB Ram instead of 1.5GB.
Due to the double VRAM capacity (1.5x2) the RAM chips might limit your Memory OC further than they would with 1.5GHZ.

Generally people overclock only the Core first in order to have a lower failure probability when experiencing instabilities, meaning that when your OC becomes unstable there will only be one factor to be responsible since you only overclocked your core and left the Memory alone

Once you have found your stable Core OC limit you can start concentrating on the Memory.

But generally tests have shown that the Memory is only marginally relevant for GPU performance, so don´t worry about it

ill get there i havent got enough tim atm to do anything im using scraps of whatever i can find in the apartment plus in dublin its hard to get any of the supplies like LET or Dragonskin good news is ive managed to run 2600 on the mem without errors lets try 2620 now
post #1309 of 3582
Without errors in what? Benches? 2600 is pretty damn nice though. I didn't really spend much time with the memory on my card. On my lightning, the only thing I had was either vaseline or eraser. Normally i go with just vaseline, but this time i went with eraser instead.
