If you are still not sure, do as I did, get an 1.5 kWh gold to play it safe. No reason to bother about power for some time. In my opinion - going from 750 to 850 is like false economy.

The photo section voting is going on right now and other than that the thread is remaining stale.

Also the gaming section is quite dry even though most of you voted on it

I ´would like to realize the Mini Competitions idea

I have already been working on a "prototype" to be honest.
The realization of the idea is difficult since the competition though benchmarks is the main essence and anything else would have to be gaming related but we have the gaming section for that

So I thought of creating a game just for the club^^
In my high school times I learned how to program java ...and I am currently working on an applet in which all club members are free to enter and play.

It is called Club Wars^^ and based on an RPG concept.
Basically (collecting,upgrading and fighting).

The main essence of the game will be for you to be able to enter online (probably from my hp) and interact with each other.
I am trying to balance it out though and find the optimal factors of addicting you to it^^

Right now it is looking too much like Mario so I am scared of being sewed by Nintendo but when finished I want it to offer 10 individual characters.
Of course in regard to our Club Force (Generel to Private).
All will have their individual skills and the names of the current Force Top 10 of course

Well, I think it should.
My rig has never pushed past 700w at peak power (just for a few seconds) and I have two Lightnings like you. Under heavy load (Furmark, Witcher 2, Metro2033 bench) it usually stays around 650w.
My rig is mildly OCed though. Only take it to 4.2GHz for benching occasionally. And I don't know how much power does a sandyB like yours needs above 5GHz

Have you ever measured your wattage?
My numbers come from a fan controller + wattage meter from zalman and although it isn't precise (taken from the PSU power plug) it is reliable enough for estimating overall power needs.

This club just keeps getting better! Way to go, KP!

Looks like the only way I'm going to make any headway is to invest in a Lightning or try to land one of the high multiplier 2600Ks.

And did I mention I am starting to really dislike the UD7-B3. I can never get my keyboard consistently detected on POST after a bad OC and this slows things down tremendously; the Gene-Z, on the other hand, is a solid little trooper; posts quickly too.

Well thank you, I am trying my best

But I think the ultimate bummer for the club would be the complete sponsorship of Nvidia if OCN would allow it already

For now it is limited to e-mailing.

I am thinking about new ideas though.

Right now I am trying to figure out a way for everybody to compete and have fun aside benchmarking and overclocking and still in regard to the GTX 580
It appears that all possibillities have been exhausted, but I don´t wanna stop improving our club, I want more for you guys.

? Bummer is a bad thing, some nvidia involvement could be good...
Fair & fun ways to compete can be tough, pretty much have to have separate classes for cpus & clock limitations so all can reach the same frequencies, cooling limitations, etc.
