Yea!!!! I just won and EBAY auction for : ASUS ENGTX580 DCII/2DIS/1536MD5 GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) 1536MB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

This is my first GTX580 and I am so looking forward to it arriving. This card is going to be fun. As soon as I get it installed and such will get GPU-Z and other requirements.

Any thoughts on overclocking? I did some overclocking on my GTX285, only about 20% give or take. With those you can't do voltage at all. I will leave it air cooled since it has such a beast of a cooler on it. Thoughts on settings would be very helpful.

I realize it's overkill but was going to leave my GTX285 in for PhsyX. Does anyone see or know of any issues with doing that? Otherwise will just let it run folding 24/7.

Give me a week or so and I will get some pictures and scores posted.

Beast cards, love mine. Mine hits over 1GHZ pretty easy. Well built units imo

Ya, pics are always nice

I have to wait until tomorrow to get pics, I have to take the rig off its stand to put the front panel connectors back on anyways, which means taking out the bottom card and all that jazz.

Since this is the overclocking thread, I thought I'd pose a question for you all without starting a new topic. I realize this doesn't conform to the first post's rules but I'm not doing this so I can get in the first post.

I just got my new GTX 580 today and I've been benchmarking and OC'ing it this afternoon and I hit a wall at 950 core, unigine would just crash out on me all the time.

So Right now my card is as 900/1800/2100 with 1.1 volts selected in E-LEET. As far as 580's go is this ok? Could I push farther with some extra volts? OC Scanner would just stop functioning if I upped the voltage any higher (it would start the scan but GPU usage would be at 0). The exact card is an EVGA GTX 580 FTW Hydro Copper 2. The max temp it gets in benchmarks and gaming is 45C so I'm definitely not thermally limited. Suggestions?

I needed 1.150 to hit 950 stable, and I have to bump it up to 1.210 for 1000mhz but I still haven't got it stable there, it needs more. Your adjustment stops at 1.100?

Man, mine takes 1.15v to even hit 900 core. 925 requires 1.175v, and I have yet to get 950 to stay stable at all even for 10 seconds.

So yeah, you're doing pretty well.

1.1v for 900 core is pretty good and you could leave it there and be happily content.

1.213v is no problem at all for your card if you choose to go that high because you have it watercooled. You'll probably see 55'C max load with those volts, so still great temps.

I've run 1.213v on my 480s no problem, these fermi's are tanks

You might be limited to 1.15v though and only a bios flash would get you to 1.213v. That's another story.

Yeah, I think he needs to do some editing to get his voltage up. God I love my buttons right on the PCB.. 2 pushes and I'm at 1.200

On the OC topic, can anyone explain to me why cards need more voltage for the same clocks in SLI than single?
